Arlene Morell: I am a life-long resident of Middlesex County.
I am currently the Vice-Chair of the TVDSB and a Trustee representing Middlesex County. I have worked tirelessly to improve opportunities for students in our rural communities. I have provided leadership within education promoting increased student success initiatives, supports for special education, developed parent and community forums, spearheaded policy discussions affecting change, and promoted safe and accepting schools. My leadership experience provides me with a unique understanding of the education system and the schools in our county. I am seeking re-election, I am committed to work alongside community partners and municipal leaders on behalf of students and families to promote student achievement and well-being.
Sean Hunt: I live in Middlesex County. I am proud to be raising my family in the vibrant growing community of Ilderton, where my wife and I are active in our local Lions and Optimist service clubs. I am committed to serving my community and I believe that our rural schools are the very heart of our communities. I have established relationships and developed an in-depth understanding of educational policy, procedure and politics through three years of advocacy on behalf of rural families across the TVDSB. I have earned a reputation with trustees and municipal leaders as a persistent, resourceful and collaborative voice for rural schools and communities. I am running for public school trustee to be a bridge between the board and our local municipalities, to improve collaboration in order to support and enhance strategic plans; for growth and sustainability, in the municipalities of Middlesex County.
Together: The students and families of Middlesex County deserve a team of trustees who can actively represent the unique values of our rural communities. Trustees who are committed to listening and making locally informed decisions. Trustees who will work together to ensure strong representation at the board table.
Hunt & Morell are that team!
